Donaghadee
is a village with a rich history, its ancient motte
dating back over 400 years and built as a protection
against the maraudiing Vikings.
It is the closet point in Northern Ireland to the Scottish
coast and in years gone by it became the main ferry
point between Ireland and Scotland and a popular holiday
destination.
